Passengers disembark from the relief passenger train, hauled by a Z24 class
to walk around the derailment shown in the previous photograph to the connecting train,
mid 1920s, probably near Tichborne. The local newspaper, at about this time, reported
on the visit of the reigning, and first, Miss Australia, Beryl Mills, and that she had been a
passenger on a train that derailed near Tichborne. It is possible that this pair of photographs
has captured that event. The landscape certainly fits the Tichborne area.
