An L436 class and train prepare to depart Forbes for Parkes, c1905
Howe Photographers
The L436 were first permitted in the Parkes - Forbes area in 1902 but little
is known of their workings in the area. This photograph was taken by Howe Photographic
of Forbes and used as a postcard. At the time Forbes was the terminus and the engine
in the photograph has been turned and faces Parkes. The station building has changed
little in the last hundred years
